WHAT ARE STEEPED COFFEE BAGS?
A steeped coffee bag is similar to a big tea bag – but better, because it’s filled with ground coffee!
Pre-portioned with just the right amount of coffee, rather than brewing your coffee through a drip filter or pour-over method, you simply ‘steep’ the bag in hot water.
The result is a clean, balanced cup of coffee that preserves the intended flavour profile – without the hassle of grinders, scales, or coffee machines.
With our focus on plastic-free oceans, the coffee envelopes we use to package our steeped coffee bags and drip coffee bags are made from renewable materials with a plant-based oxygen barrier. This environmentally-friendly design keeps our premium-quality specialty coffee as fresh as the moment it was ground.
Our coffee envelopes conform to Australian Standard AS 5810 ‘Home Composting’, so you can enjoy your coffee with complete peace of mind knowing each envelope will decompose back to organic matter within 6-8 weeks (when disposed of in a home compost system).

HOW TO USE A STEEPED COFFEE BAG
1. Place the coffee bag in your cup and gradually pour 230ml of hot water (95°C) over the bag.
2. Submerge the bag and agitate for 15 seconds, then steep for 5 minutes – or until desired strength is reached.
3. Remove the coffee bag and enjoy!
TIP: For a milder taste, steep for 3 minutes; for a stronger flavour, leave the bag in your cup while you enjoy your coffee.
